A recent patient of Dr. Bayati’s was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29. She first discovered a lump in one of her breasts when she conducted a self-examination at home due to some soreness in the area. Following a mammogram and an ultrasound, her doctor ordered a biopsy, which tested positive for breast cancer. A little over two weeks later, she underwent a double nipple sparing mastectomy and breast reconstruction.
